Alistair is Born!!!

Big news in the past few days!  At 1:46am (British Standard Time), 27th April 2008 Alistair Matthew Coomber was brought into the world.  We couldn't be more proud, or more exhausted, and are very thankful for all of Grandma Sue's help!  Here are a few photos, with more to come later!

The Nappy Lady's Visit

So this is what we are doing in all our spare time: learning to fold nappies. Without a baby, we had to practice on this stuffed bunny. The plastic pants are a little big for the bunny, but are quite amusing!

One arrival...

Mom (A.K.A. Grandma Sue) has arrived safely and will be taking care of us for the next two weeks. Hopefully she knows something about taking care of babies.
This photo was taken this afternoon at the Shrines Inn, a 13th century pub in the countryside of Derbyshire. Mom had her first (and probably the best she'll ever have) steak and ale pie.
Now we anxiously wait another arrival...

The jacket still fits

Thirty-eight weeks+ and waiting for the raspberry leaf tea, walking, curries to kick in...
Does anyone know any other tricks??

Baby's First Wash

Ok...So some of these posts might not hold the greatest interest to all, but we're just putting all sorts of stuff on here.  SO, if you find this stuff interesting, enjoy.  If not.. feel free to move along to those bits of interest.

This was our first wash day for the little dude.  We've gotten most of his clothes, sheets, and sleeping bags washed, but it hasn't been easy.  The weather has been really odd!  Today we had winter (snow and hale), spring (rain), sun (summer), and autumn (a mix of all of these) within four or five hours.  This makes it really difficult to get things dry!

Most Recent Photo To Date...

Here is the little guy at 21 weeks!  That was 17 weeks ago, in early December.  We hope to have some new photos of him before too long!

In The Beginning..

So this is the blog that we're setting up to keep you folks up -to-date with the beginning of our little one's life.  We figure that after he comes, we will be far too tired to send as many emails as we would like.  That said, we'll be very happy to reply to the emails you send to us! :O)

For those of you who may be new to this, we are expecting our first child, a boy, on 19 April.  That said, we have already entered the 37-week window, so who knows when he will arrive?!

Please keep us (especially Sarah) in your thoughts, prayers, good-vibes lists, or in any other well-wishing rituals that you may practice.
